Sorry for the numpty question, haven't flown VS since 2004. I have a companion reward attached to my Flying Club account (courtesy of Amex) and am considering using it. Is it the case that I have to purchase a full fare ticket in order to use the companion voucher or can I redeem miles for my seat and use the companion voucher for the other one?
