All good inputs, especially from Paralytic.

These are not fashion items, or breast/penis enhancers. They are tools. Simple as that. If it's the tool for you, in the circumstances you operate, then by all means do it. If it's just because its "new", you're (IMO and with respect) a bit of a silly billy.

I have here a PC [almost unused and obsolete) and the big iMac. We then both have iPads, so that we can browse bizarre websites like this, read email and check News channels whilst sitting in a comfy chair or even in bed. The iPads perform all those functions when we're away from home - but we don't need to analyse the last 5 years' Company Accounts, or print 200-page .pdf files. Some folks do - so a laptop is their answer.

It's a question of 'mature analysis of the need' - something numerous Governments have failed to do for many years. But, if shredding £notes is your thing, go for it. I bet the $11.00 WalMart watch I'm wearing says the same time as someone else's £20,000 Rolex.
