I received a email from Hertz for the closed contract, but nothing on a Gold Accounts list this rental. The person on the phone mentioned a new employee and the car was re rented from a Friday return by Monday when I spoke to an ALB employee. I don't think they will mess with me because I am a PC Gold, but still, my fault for not waiting the extra three minutes for a little stress.
Always get the receipt. The same thing happened to me twice this summer - both times the charges were wrong, and one didn't close the contract for 3 months even after I called, but in the end hertz made it right. They have plenty of video in the facilities to prove things.
