Too bad the luggage storage service at T8 no longer exist..I don't know when it closed.

Not sure if this works but "VIP Luggage Delivery" service may be another option.

Just check the baggage to MIA at GIG and re-checkin at MIA for MIA-JFK with the delivery service.
The fee is $29.95 up to 40 miles from JFK though.
