I'm looking at possibly getting a Travelpro Crew9 or Platinum7 26". Reading through the description though is an art of decoding marketing. Can someone explain to me the real difference that justifies the Platinum being $100 more?
Pretty sure it's the lifetime warranty that covers airline damage. If you're the sort to follow up and actually claim the warranty when the inevitable damage happens, that can be a real value on a bag that is used for check in.
That's in my consideration list. Wow only 9ish pounds? But it's only 5100 ci vs 5483 ci of the TravelPros.
One of those is a design spec, and the other is measured. (the official way to measure CI is to fill the bag with 3/4" diameter balls and then count them. Though if you are looking at the travel pro with the suitor it's only 5254 ci. Bigger isn't necessarily better. How big do you need?
I guess I'll have to check it out. It doesn't seem to have anything to help suits not get wrinkled. Hm.
You can see many suggestions in the packing tips thread.
