I'm exhausted from all the shopping, but I stayed away from the gas stations. Stuck with some bookstores, a shoe store, and a bunch of restaurants I knew were small businesses and were on this map. My last store was a liquor store (down the street), and I'm sitting here enjoying some wine (thanks to Amex, I hope).

From the looks of things, we will find out when we start getting the credits, but no matter what, I am sure we will all be pleased with our credits.

This was a great promotion. I also enjoyed going to the small businesses in town and buying stuff from them. I think this is a special promotion from American Express and Fedex, and I think their support really is a great thing.

I didn't shop yesterday; I really enjoy supporting the local businesses in our town and I admire the effort that Amex and Fedex put into this program. I saw television ads for Shop Small. This is a good thing. I'm glad we got to get some freebees, but I also appreciate the small businesses that we need to support, instead of buying everything from big box stores, chains, etc.

Bravo to American Express and Fedex (yes, Fedex may seem to be in the shadows, but they are also supportive of Small Business Saturday!

Hopefully, next year, we will see more stores, restaurants, etc. with "Shop Small" signs in their windows. Most of the places I shopped didn't know about the promotion, but there were a few that had signs, and doormats even, that said "Shop Small".

We need to support our small businesses!
