I believe it has recently been changed to 1 free checked baggage up to 23 kg for the US in WT (economy class), unless connecting between India and the US, which you don't seem to be doing, or you are on a full economy ticket (which you also don't seem to be, as the fares you have paid would not be high enough to be a full economy ticket):

If you are AA Exec Plat or Plat (or a higher tier members of a few other OW FF schemes), you are allowed 2 free checked baggage in WT.

If you are in WT+, you are allowed two bags up to 23kg each.

The first extra checked baggage will be charged £34/$51/€43 if you pay in advance on BA.com. If you pay at the airport, it will be charged at £40/$60/€50.
