I don't think there's an easy answer here, other than for BA to update its systems. Don't hold your breath.
After handing over my LHR-MAN BP, I knew I was going to get a computer says no response from the gate agent, so I did clearly show the gate agent my NCE-LHR CE BP and also say that I'm an inbound CE passenger.
To which as i said in my opening post, I was firmly told fast track is for status OW passengers and business uk ticket holders only. As there was about a dozen or so passengers behind me in the queue, the gate agent did let me board instead of making me do the walk of shame back to where everyone else was waiting.
Would it not be all that difficult for BA to update it's systems so that a domestic sector of a premium cabin reward booking, if all booked on the same PNR issued you with a business uk boarding pass for the domestic sector. This would also bring an end to any issues with lounge access for non status passengers at T5 when waiting for the domestic connection.
