I can fully understand why BA waits until the last minute before posting gates at LHR T5 and even LGW. But I cannot for the life of me figure out why glorified aerodromes such as EDI have a similar situation! Nor can I fathom out why it takes so long for BA flights to taxi out at EDI. I have been known to fall asleep on such taxis, only to re-awake with at least another 20 minutes before takeoff.
