In fairness to the OP, that's exactly what CO did with respect to MM credit.

So they had to pick a methodology for MM credit going forward -- the more generous CO approach, or the less generous UA approach. In following their pattern of selecting the worst from both airlines, they used the more restrictive UA approach.
