Am new to flyertalk and this may have been discussed in detail before and if so, please refer me to the appropriate thread, but I am dismayed, that as I approach 3MM status my flights on Lufthansa from FRA to Addis Ababa and back (after flying to FRA on a United jet and then back from Paris on a United jet) did not count. I certainly understand and appreciate the business issue behind actual "United" miles flown - but what if "United" does not fly to those destination cities except through Star Alliance partners?
