Well, after strugling for a couple of weeks I can say the following:
Its seems that in advance of whats comming (reduction of flight all across the board for Iberia) they have someway blocked most (all) businness avios seats.
Ive been going all across the calendar for a MAD-MEX and have reached Oct 24 which is the last date you can see, and there are zero businness seats. Strangly, you can find sporadicly a couple of MEX-MAD, but not MAD-MEX, I dont know if this makes sense, but that is what I have observed.
Called the call center and the nice girl also whent all full yeay and could not find a single MAD-MEX in business.
Any other observation that could enlighten us of whats happening?
BTW, there are plenty of "azul" and "turista".
Ah, now I remember what I wanted to say; When you do the search, if there is not at least one available seat on the outbound or in the inbound for a specific category, then it will not show the category at all. If there is at least one, then it will show the category (lets say Businness) and it will have a cross if theres is no availability in that segment/flight number.
That is why it seems that the category desapeared for good, but if you manage to pick a date witch has at least one seat available in at least one segnet in at least one flight number, thet it will appear (with Xs on all the rest of the segments)
Cheers.
PD: Hey guys, I know Iberia's program is not as charming (and popular) as others, but if we are on board, might as well comment a little more on it, to share experiences and fing ways to navegate the program more eficiently.
For example, did you know that if you have the SENDO card (spain only) twice a year you can buy 24,000 avios for 460€ and SENDO will give you another 24,000 free? so now you have almost 50000 avios for around 1000€, and then there is a time of the year where you can book flight at halfe the avios, so you can book a 100,000avio price for the 50,000 that you got for 1000€...
That is a good deal...
Cheers
