UA SWU's are the only reason if you are 1k. If not and you buying a premium seat (J or F) then I'm not sure why anyone would pick a US based carrier either.
Yeah, the SWUs are a big reason why I flew J on UA. However, I've redeemed UA miles for UA J.
Now that I know better, never again.
