Thanks, that's useful. I'm visiting every country in the world (103 down so far) but not just on one trip

Is it putting the stopover in at SYD that's breaking MPM? So I should forget about that and concentrate on stopping over in AKL instead? The reason I'd prefer SYD is because NZ fares between the two are much cheaper from SYD!

I accept getting award availability on certain carriers will be tough, but I'm very flexible with dates and times.

Re: the other poster who stated biz award availability doesn't show on SQ 77W/380 on the UA site... it certainly was when I checked last week (I even have a screenshot) but I'm not holding out any hope getting it with USDM.

But - I would suggest: MAD-FRA-SIN-AKL (stopover) - NAN (end point) - AKL-BKK-FRA-MAD

While in AKL buy a AKL-SYD return to visit OZ or use another South Pacific - South Pacific award (30,000 in C) to do something more creative - like AKL-PER-AKL or once you're in SYD do SYD-RAR (NZ has a once a week non-stop service where C award availability is good).

Also note getting C award availability on some of the above sectors may be very difficult; in particular FRA-SIN on LH.
