I never get near 30k .... those 1.1m Avios from Lloyds earlier in the year have sated my desire to go near a Tesco, whatever the deal, unless I am doing an experiment for the blog .

However, Tesco has brought the rule in and I think you'd be crazy to go over it. It is just another stick for them to beat you with, should they choose. Get another clubcard if you intend to go overboard with something.

I do, though, know numerous people who have gone over 30k (40k in one case) this year with no adverse effects. But why chance it?
