Suck it up, it won't kill you to wear clothes for a few hours.
There is this culture of I know best for every one in all circumstances.
This is a silly argument. Taking shoes off is not the same thing as taking your clothes off. Clothes promote modesty, shoes do not. "comfortable at all costs" may be a reason for some, it's not for most.
Clothes are clean when you put them on. Shoes are not.
Even after 10 hours of wearing, shoes are cleaner than most of your clothes.
You should wash your hands after you touch your shoes so as not to "contaminate" other surfaces. That thought probably does not enter the crowd obsessed with appearance.
Your child does not get sick by chewing on their bin or your handkerchief. But is very likely on chewing your shoe.
Mind you, you are required to remove certain type of shoes, when evacuating on water, but none of your clothes.
I suppose people who take their shoes off before entering a place of worship must not have a sense if decency.
You are welcome to keep your shoes on everywhere, you had better take yours off before you enter my house.
It won't kill you to MYOB and stop Judging others based on the state of "washedness" of your brain.
Sock or no sock is hardly an issue. SOcks are cleaner than soles of your shoes, but could be stinkier. In some cases bare feet might be kinder to fellow passengers than "socked" feet. If your feet stink, and you take your shoes off, you had better take your socks off too, seal them in a ziplock baggie and clean your feet with a babywipe.
