I can see the most value in this if you are travelling alone and are in a 2-3-2 layout. You could get a window seat but have guaranteed access to the aisle and have more room to move about (without the risk of anyone stealing the extra space you've paid for).

I can see tears before bedtime.

Scenario 1: pax buys Economy+, doors close, another pax attempts to move into the seat to be nearer his family etc, original pax objects, crew get called etc

Scenario 2: pax doesn't buy Economy+, has ajacent seat free by chance, lies and says has bought Economy+ when another pax tries to move there

Scenario 3: pax buys economy+ and kicks himself for wasting £200 on a half empty flight

This may need some policing, I hope the cabin crew are up to speed.
