I wanted an award ticket for my husband and the Qatar airways Hk staff booked an economy X class ticket for the sectors HKT/DOH/LHR/DOH and then used my points to purchase a business I class ticket for the Doha/HK sector because she did not know that an upgrade is allowed between X Class to I class. By the time I found put her mistake it was already too late as she had wasted my points on purchasing the business class ticket! I went back to Qatar HK office to ask then that my points which I will be accumulating from my London flight on nov. 16th be used to upgrade my husband's ticket for the sector LHR/DOH also, by which time it was too late because the upgrade seats were already fully booked. Now it seems that thanks to the fault of the Qatar airways HK staff, not only have I wasted my valuable points buying a business class ticket for the DOH/HKG sector for my husband, but Also I could have obtained an upgrade for my husband when I booked the ticket in August this year when there was a chance for an upgrade and I had the points required! Would appreciate a comment from the Qatar representative please
