I can tell you what is in the diabetic meal - pretty much similar to a regular meal except lower carbohydrate content (and more complex - like wheat bread instead of white, etc.) and your dessert is typically not as rich as the regular tray, usually fruit. Even your snack is specially packaged but sometimes the FAs forget about the snacks. You get your meal ahead of everyone else (all specials for that matter). In the last 12 months, I have gotten either chicken or fish, never beef. The segment I fly is US-Japan and back. Hope this helps.
