Checking eligibility for earning Avios and Tier Points

Hi everyone !

I made a provisionnal booking for a BA flight through a Travel agent providing special fares for people working in the transport industry.

It is a business class return - so that should mean that all Avios are provided whatever the fare- but I am aware that the Executive T&Cs stipulate:

'' 11.3.Agency discount tickets, industry discount tickets and airline employee discount tickets are not eligible either for Avios Points or Tier Points
''

I asked my travel agent if the booking would provide me with full avios and tier points, but he was not able to answer. He said I should get avios anyway, but could not guarantee I would receive all of them. I was advised to contact Executive Club.

Contacting Executive Club, I am told they cannot tell me before they have a reference, i.e before the booking is actually completed and paid with the travel agent... And I do not want to book until I am sure whether they provide Avios as clearly the discount compared to the public price is nice but not so significant...

The only bit I know is that the tickets booked would be in fare class 'I'.
Does this mean that they are not industry fares for sure and therefore eligible ? Or is there still a risk it is an industry fare...

I feel stuck and therefore would appreciate any help or piece of advice !!!

Thank you
