Regardless of Age- the 757-200's F seat is superior in every way to the the 300's. The 77's and 67's were even better. Just flew round trip in row 6 (my favorite with nobody behind you),and they dont recline anywhere near as much as the 200's. With that said, I'm sure United is not concerend due to the extreem amount of award tickets they redeem to Hawaii. I flew round trip from Carlsbad to HNL for 318.00 !! times two with a 500.00 voucher (got off a regional on superbowl sunday) Total cost for my wife and I, 136.00 !
with regular domestic comp upgarde on the outbound and regional credits used on the return. Spent the savings flying to Maui and back on Mokulele's Grand Caravan ( west maui ) for 59.OO each way, which was more like a ride than travel

. Anyhow, if you want the best F experience try to route tru SFO or look for the 200's. Or hope for an empty 300 and retire to a full row in economy after the meal. Looks like the 300's will be removed form the LAX-HNL routes around April, let's hope... for good !
