Flying PHX-YYZ-LHR next week. Last three times I flew that route with a checked bag it got stuck in YYZ and didn't arrive in LHR for over 24 hours. Tough on a 3 day trip.

I talked to the baggage folk and was told it shouldn't happen and just to make sure it had an "In transit" sticker on it. It did and didn't make it with 4+ hour connections three times in a row (repeated for emphasis).

I'm handicapped and don't want the agro of carrying my bag on unless I have to. My question is: Is there any way I can tell if my bag makes it to AC848 so if it doesn't I can go to baggage in YYZ and make sure it does. I have 4 hour layover but would rather not go out through immigration/back through security if I don't have too.
