Half the quoted tweets said something negative about Fieri in the same breath as Wells, and the only negative things anybody actually said about Wells were that he was being mean and elitist and he might not be as much fun as Fieri when it comes to shotgunning beers or something.
And yet... every other review of Guy's has been not just negative, but crazy over-the-top negative:
- The Observer: "When they come, the fries are a sticky supernatural orange simulacrum of a former potato, fried to paralysis."
- The Post: "I wouldn’t feed the mess to a cat"
- UPROXX: "We wanted to be the first to see if Guy was ready for his closeup. He isn’t, and I doubt he ever will be."
- Salon: "That prickly blaze of shame roiling in your gut [is] close to knowing the dull pain of every waking second spent inside this restaurant."
