The only problem is how do you possibly carry enough bottles for such a long flight?!? That's why so many of us found the drop-in's a good solution. I usually flew alone and I couldn't physically carry that many bottles for a trip half as long (I tried...)

With the Playtex, you don't have to deal with "dirty" bottles. Only the ring and nipple have to be cleaned. Premeasuring the formula means no having to fiddle with the powder during the flight itself.

Security will allow it through since liquids for children are exempt from the liquid limits.

P.S. That article-yuk! Hopefully they've straightened things up since 2002. I never had any problems with passengers and the water on board. I usually used bottled water for the one child I had who used formula (the other two were purely breastfed).

As a coincidence, that 13 year old boy is from the next town over to where I'm from!
