Basic pay. Doesn't include alowances such as DA, CCA ot HRA, that are paid to all employees. Basic pay of 2000-5000 is low. What is the basic pay of a university lecturer? What about a newly appointed IAS officer?
Basic pay is around 16k. Everything else you talk about is included and adds up. However there are lots of deductions too and they take place from the basic salary and not the flying allowance part. As a consequence lot of pilots are taking home figures I quoted and some even in negative.
PLI is applicable to pmIC too. We are getting it. It is over and above flying allowance. However, from what i heard it was supposed to be abolished from July. However, can't confirm as we haven't got July allowance. For pilots it adds up to about 10-20% of your flying allowance depending on seniority
