I'm trying to book an award flight and it looks like I won't be able to add the last leg to my itinerary...Does anyone know the rules/how strict the airlines are for letting me bring all my luggage to my final destination without paying the luggage fee? I wanted to stop for a a few days CAN before conditioning on, but not sure if that's feasible.

Example: Fly into CAN with 2 checked pieces, then rest for 2-3 days and use a 1 way ticket to CKG with those same two pieces, but no luggage charge.
