It is *very* yield managed. You might be lucky and find a reasonable price on easyJet from Gatwick or Luton, depending on how busy that flight is.

The cheapest way is probably coach, but I guess you're not wanting to spend a whole day travelling.

I agree with others - put an overnight between the two and you should be pretty safe.
