i find the spg/*woodsite radically different than other hotel sites. it is extremely difficult to shop for a hotel on the spg site. when i wanted to book a hotel in spain, i could not figure out where in spain the places were.(small nameplaces) no maps showing all locations. every time i started to shop hotels on star wood, i was back to country, city,number of guests, days for rooms,and a bunch of other information that should be carried foward. the site was terrible 20 or so years ago when i joined starwood, and has not improved one bit. the rates are all a big secret, as they have half a dozen rates for the same room on the same day.

due to this difficulty, i have stayed in one room for one night(booked through 3rd party site) in the past 10 or so years.(i was a platinum, and am a million pointer)
