What's the point of an alliance? I will say that I have primarily been a *A flyer. Currently on an AA F award DCA-JFK-HKG-TPE. The first leg is on AA and then the other two on CX. When I just checked in the bag tag only came out for JFK and no bp for the CX flights either. I asked him to check all the way to TPE and he said the system wouldn't let him. Since I have to overnight at JFK that I means I have to drag my giant bag around the airport to the hotel shuttle both ways. Flight out on CX is tomorrow AM at 9.

I've never encountered a problem checking a bag all the way on *A. Is this an AA thing or a OW thing? Doesn't encourage me to use them more in the future that is for sure.
