No upgrade asked or offered. The downside of the standard villa is the kids (just my wife and I). We have families beside us and the walls (glass doors) are thin so it's tough to take the afternoon nap ;^). Though I find it hard to find fault in the laughter of children
The "adults" island is much quieter we enjoy the walk over and have breakfast there
You do not state if you are diamond or gold member, did you have any issues getting the free breakfast?
And can you tell me how far in advance Conrad contacted your to plan the seaplane?
At Hilton Iru they wrote to us just a few days after we booked - that was very reassuring, and kept contact in the months before arrival like sending the excursion sheet so we could book snorkeling trip etc.
I am also a bit concerned about the room - At Iru they are all freestanding - even the cheapest ones - that gives a whole other feeling of privacy.
