Yes...JAL Sakura lounge is used by all OW carriers for Business and
First class passengers. The First class section opens at 6 AM and the boarding time for the JFK flight is 6:10 so you can used it for 10 minutes or so. Great massage chairs there :-) The food seemed similar, maybe an item or two more at the First lounge...
The Business class on this flight did not have Full Flat seats as I had read in one of the AA Press releases...
HND seemed like a very nice airport...nice architecture, quick security
and very nicely maintained facilities. Not sure why AA was given such an early slot there but it is a problem if you are coming from Tokyo to catch the flight. (I stayed at the hotel in Term-2)
The flight was FULL so looks like AA will keep it operating...
