My point was that I really do not believe that the DWV which has not been renovated as I understand it (and total dimensions should not have changed) is actually 115 square metres. I used to have an apartment of almost exactly that size and there was no comparison of size whatsoever between my old apartment (which was large and spacious) and the DWV (which really wasn't large or spacious). I would have been able to get practically all of the DWV internal space within my living room.
As I see it in order to get to 115 square metres of space for the DWV you would have to look at all the internal area, all the external area including the walkway from the land and take into account a bit of ocean too

. Those dimensions are seriously misleading and seem obviously out of step with reality. Converting metres to yards might give a more accurate figure.
In the UK this would be a serious breach of advertising standards. Given the data was provided to the press I cannot imagine that any publication reporting these figures verbatim would be terribly happy to discover this error either.
Most of the villas are essentially square or rectangular even when including the outside space. It really should not be hard to give accurate dimensions for layouts such as these.
