You're probably right and I wouldn't be surprised to be in the minority in saying this, but I like having easy city access in a hub. It provides something to do/some variation when you have flights with long connections.

I seem to do this with most places I connect rather than staying in the airport, even in places that are far from the city, like IAH.

To my mind it makes more sense financially too, as surely you get more O/D traffic too?
