I'll be in Boston on Small Business Saturday (Nov 24) and as I have a fair few AMEX cards I'll be looking to do some shopping at small, non-chain businesses to take advantage of this offer.

Can anyone recommend any particular areas of the city that have a proliferation of 'small businesses' (as opposed to chain stores that dominate certain areas)?

I know that AMEX has a site that's supposed to show you where the small businesses are, but past experience shows me it's a bit unreliable - lots of places missing etc.
