I fear this is true for many of the airports, including GRU and, one we use even if most U.S. tourists don't, FOR. Most are woefully outdated and with insufficient capacity to handle the current crowds, much less those expected for the World Cup. I can just imagine the chaos at the baggage carousels, lines at Immigration, etc. The newer terminal at GIG (2?) isn't too bad, but the older one is horrible. Makes GRU look good.
