I am actually booked DEL --> HEL --> JFK --> DFW on the return, which isn't too bad. The ~24 hour layover in HEL is what I was trying to avoid. On the outbound, I fly DFW to EWR (AA) and 9W to BRU and onwards to DEL.

I was not able to find any J or F availability from NRT/HND to DFW either. I have ~200k avios as well that I could possibly use. If EY availability opens up, that would be ideal. Their J product is very nice as well.
