As I was at the time (Jan 2011) a recent re-convert from AA to BA - I didn't know anything about gate A10......

I still don't know how the most modern terminal in Heathrow has to BUS some of it's passengers to the aircraft - I thought I'd travelled back in time !
Boarding a 777 to JFK - the bus journey took about 10 minutes, for a second I thought we would drive to JFK.
Not impressed at all by that experience, lucky for me I'm able bodied enough to be slung around whilst standing in a crowded bus.
My father is based at ORD , before he retired used to do a bi-weekly commute to various cities in Texas said that at ORD if they had to bus passengers to the plane, the bus body lifted up to the aircraft door (loading passengers like catering !)- maybe BA should consider getting some of these buses if they intend it to be a permanent thing.
How do they get wheelchair pax on board ?

A fireman's lift ???
