So, I've done what seemed to be the sensible thing - I booked the outbound, hoping that the return flights will remain available for a few more days while the avios transfer over.
Of course, when I finally get my avios, I'll book the return (assuming it's still available - fingers crossed!). But then I will be left with a simple return journey on two separate PNRs. Is there any disadvantage to this? Can I and should I ask BA to link it all up together as one return flight? Or somehow link the PNRs? Or does it just not matter?
Also, does anyone know how long Starwood points and Clubcard points take to actually transfer? Was done today, but I'd like to know when I might have a chance of booking!

In my experience it takes about 48 hours max to show in your EC account, as long as you have previously made a transfer and the accounts are already linked.
