I need to open up a Hong Kong bank account for the Scheme $6000 electronic fund transfer. I will probably only keep $500 in the account to start off with. Which bank has zero or the lowest monthly fee? Doesn't matter to me if it is a checking or saving account. Don’t care about earning any interest. What would help are getting an ATM card and online access. But they are not absolute requirements.
What documentation do I need to open an account besides HK ID card? I also do not have an HK address but I do have a local cell phone number. I will bring my utility bill from the US to prove my address.
