In my experience the fare codes are dynamic (ie: refundable M on one route versus non-refundable M on another). What I usually do is put together the itinerary I want on delta.com, and when I get to the trip summary page with the flight selections, just above the red "Enter Passenger Info" bar is a link titled "change & cancellation policies," I click that and it gives me some of the fare information for that itinerary. I then click "VIEW FULL FARE RULES" to see them in their entirety.

Thanks, I will give that a try. It just seems that it should be easier to learn all the fare rules and restrictions. And a refundable M vs non-refundable M situation is one of the situations I'm interested in.
