Ok, now it makes some sense to me, or at least I think so. It's only you and anyone else who qualified under the old rules that get this 2-year floating qualification period. The rest of use have a fixed qualification period. But it's probably too much work to code their website to display this for such a small number of members. So they're just treating it like you're under the new rules now. But in actuality, because you've never qualified under the new rules, your downgrade status is still following the old rules, and they gave you a freebie by allowing you this floating qualification until your Gold expires, at which point you'll be completely under the new rules (or maybe they'll downgrade you to Silver if you don't qualify again and then get 2 floating years again?)

So anyways, I guess I wouldn't really consider it a bug, but more a lack of adding the functionality to handle your special case. I imagine they likely run some batch processing of all members to pull out those of you who may qualify under this floating 2-year period and manually upgrade you. But the website at this point is strictly displaying everything as if you're under the new rules.

In this case, I think you will get the status you're expecting. But for anyone who's qualified under the new rules, there is no extra year grace period.
