I'm a visitor, but have been to LAX last July, not sure if this will be of any help..

my tickets have to be bought separately.. definitely wouldn't be one pnr..

i'm looking at alternatives, like American Airlines. Given my scenario SIN-SFO, transfer SFO-JFK, if I fly American Airlines for interline, will I need to pay for checked in baggage?
