Hi all....looking for some help on seating advice on the old config 777, in both C and Y.

Finally got the upgrade to clear on NRT-BKK. It's scheduled as an old 777. Will be traveling with my wife. We've got 12AB right now. The only other pairs are in row 15...I'm assuming 12 is probably better. Any other non-bulkhead pairs better, assuming something opens up?

On our way back, we'll be going NRT-SEA, also showing as an old config (figures....only 8 of 40-some odd planes are old config, and I'm scheduled on it two flights in a row). E+ is fairly open right now, with a few pairs left. We're in 21HJ, with the seats in front missing in row 20, I assume for crew (seatguru shows three rows are used for crew, but I only see one missing on the seat map. Are these seats preferable to other pairs of E+ seats?

The other question is regarding what happens if they do an aircraft swap? Obviously, the newer aircraft are better, but how does UA tend to reseat? For C, since the row numbers hardly even match, how would they move people around? In Y, how would they move us going from a window-aisle combo to a set of three?
