Well,well,well.

The reason the payment didn't go through was because I hadn't activated my card.....had it for several months as well.
Between me booking and realising this fact the Avios redemption sale started offering 25% off award bookings. As Iberia offered me 48 hours to pay or lose my tickets I decided to cancel them and then rebook under the offer saving me 30,000 miles. ^
