I don't think you will hear anything from CA, if CA cancels your flight.

Did anybody hear from BA/IB/QF/US about their cancellation of flights?

What is even more complicated is CA is not hooked up to CMT, and checking CA flight status on its own website could be PITA! So there is a good chance you don't even know your CA flights were cancelled.

A side note, somebody reported his CA leg on this RGN ticket was downgraded to Y sometime ago. Not sure this is an episode of cancellation or it's already been cancelled.
