BA- Aer Lingus interline baggage question

I was hoping one of the Board's experts could help answer a question I have about BA- Aer Lingus interlining. I was thinking of buying a DUB-DEL ticket (via LHR) with BA (because of the TPs and also because it is cheaper), but I also need to buy a separate MAN-DUB ticket (as I live in MAN). I was hoping to use EI for the MAN-DUB segment, partly because I don't want to travel Ryanair, and partly because I was hoping I would be able to persuade the check in person at MAN for EI to interline my luggage all the way to DEL. Is this allowed? I understand that it is common for EI to interline with BA destinations from DUB, but given that I will be purchasing separate tickets for MAN to DUB and DUB to DEL, perhaps this would be a strange request and they will insist on me collecting and checking in my bags at DUB.

Any insight is most welcome!
