Thanks, following the same approach, I can now 'add to contacts' which means it's easier to find someones posts amongst the rubble.
Interesting that's it's probably the same person others are ignoring that i've extracted the majority of useful and interesting information that will be relevant to my upcoming trip. There should be a separate cesspit for overs to spleen their vitriol and hatred, over, and over, and over again.
Considering that some people (and their mums

) appear to have been stranded in far flung destinations, i'm focussing on how to minimise my risk and outlay, and maximise my possibility of flying. And this means understanding other peoples points of view, and the airlines, and the OTA's.
Maybe it's because we use s's rather than z's
I havn't contributed or panicked as as I have a few months before my SQ plated flight departs, and I have no interest in my LHR-YUL sector. However having cleared my decks with redemptions, I do realise i'm missing a lot of my best opportunities to secure a good one way flight (i'd call it a positioning flight, but the reality is that my outbound will be entirely for work, the return for pleasure). The stop in RGN an opportunity to visit a country i'd not been prepared to travel to until last year, but now am excited as the country and people are amazing.
So, i'm checking in every week or so to keep blood pressure at safe levels. Fortunately my ticket is entirely in tact. Seems to be a matter of luck though as others in my position have had problems. Just out of interest, did the person who's mum was stuck in Rangoon ever report back?
