Personally I got some assistance a few times when flying KLM ( that b/c of a sports injury coming back so now and then). I had assistance in AMS, BRS, GVA, SFO and CDG. Every case is different but overall the service is slow, takes more time then expected. Only in AMS it goes very fluid as of one level and one terminal.
