I think the lack of a proper table cloth under the tray is the worst idea ever, it looks cheap, unhygienic, and the shabby plastic tray slips around the table. If they want more space on the tray then have bigger flatter trays like Cathay, not those tack small ones.
Doing away with the salad is the other worst idea. I don't like to eat too heavily when traveling, and at least I know if the food is too rich or fatty or they have run out of my choice, I can just have some salad.
The oil with bread sounds nice, but not if it's served in a plastic container.
Cold bread a disappointment, but I do think the BA bread in CW is still a cut above most other airline's - perhaps it's just we British have better bread generally especially compared to Asian countries' often interesting attempts at bread rolls.
Not fussed about the napkin clip, but I do wish we had proper salt and pepper shakers.
The water glasses and plates look nice.
Is that really yoghurt being served in a foil-topped plastic pot at breakfast? That looks cheap and nasty. It should be in a proper bowl, even if only the little clear blue plasticy ones like it is on Club Europe.
Definitely good to have less on the tray when it arrives, I don't want to see one course until the previous has been cleared away.
The choice of whether to be woken for what kind of breakfast is good, as is not having a noisy trolley coming down the aisle. I appreciate on the ORD flight breakfast needs to be served quickly and would like it as close to landing as possible to maximise sleep, but I hope it's not like this on the NRT route, I find there is plenty of time to sleep and then be served breakfast, I don't want a one-tray breakfast dumped on me shortly before landing on this.
