I'm planning on a boarding trip to Mammoth from DC in Feb. It seems my choices of getting there are either flying to Reno then driving or flying into MMH and take a quick bus/transfer. Time-wise, it'd be better to fly into MMH since I'd have to make connection to Reno anyway saving me ~3 hrs of driving. However, I hear that flights in/out of MMH get delayed a lot due to the weather which I suppose isn't the worst thing since that means they get frequent snowstorms

So, any one have any actual number/experience on this? I'd say if my chances of being delayed going to MMH is less than 10%, I'd take that chance to save myself 3 hrs of driving both ways. Cost-wise, MMH will be ~100 higher, which would basically offset the car rental / 3-hr transfer from Reno.
